National Geographic en Español Spotlight

We are thrilled to share that our research on the parental care behavior of the guardian frog of Borneo Limnonectes palavanensis has been featured in National Geographic en Español! In the April 2019 issue's "Basic Instincts" section, our work took center stage as we delved into the remarkable caregiving role of male guardian frogs. You can read the full article in Spanish here.

The article, beautifully crafted in Spanish, sheds light on the unique parental behavior of these frogs. Referred to affectionately as "selfless dads," it highlights how male guardian frogs care for their offspring, exhibiting extraordinary dedication until their parental duties are fulfilled.

A heartfelt thank you to National Geographic en Español for spotlighting our research and sharing it with a global audience!

¡Gracias, National Geographic en Español, por compartir nuestra investigación con el mundo!
