Our research featured in Science!
We’re thrilled to share that our work on the guardian frog of Borneo (Limnonectes palavanensis) was featured in Science magazine in the article: "These female frogs are the first of their kind to croon to their guys".
The article highlights our discovery that female frogs of this species produce calls to attract mates, an extremely rare behavior in the amphibian world. This finding not only challenges conventional views of frog communication but also provides crucial insights into sex-role evolution.
In addition to the Science feature, this research was also covered by Science & Vie with the article: “Chez la grenouille de Bornéo, c'est madame qui chante” (In this Bornean frog, it's the lady who sings).
