Natalia was awarded the Nana Family Scholarship!
Kudos Natalia!
We’re proud to share that Natalia Mejia, a master’s student in our lab, was awarded the Nana Family Scholarship, administered by the Conservation Federation of Missouri. She was recognized during the 89th Annual CFM Convention at their Conservation Awards Ceremony.
This scholarship will support Natalia’s field research in Costa Rica this summer, where she will investigate how male frogs alter their calling behavior in response to different social environments. By combining bioacoustics with behavioral ecology, her work will shed light on the complex communication strategies of tropical amphibians.
Congratulations, Natalia—we can’t wait to hear what you discover!
